Duties
- Prepare and serve a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages efficiently while maintaining high standards of quality and presentation
- Engage with guests in a friendly, professional manner to enhance their overall experience
- Manage POS systems such as Toast POS to process orders accurately and swiftly
- Ensure compliance with food safety and alcohol serving regulations, including proper food handling and responsible serving practices
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, including stocking supplies and managing inventory
- Handle cash transactions accurately through cashiering and cash handling procedures, balancing registers at shift end
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate food and beverage service seamlessly
- Demonstrate strong time management skills to handle multiple tables or bar stations during peak hours efficiently
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a bartender in fine dining, nightclub, or banquet environments preferred; hospitality or food service background highly valued but we will train.
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Toast POS is essential for efficient order processing but not required
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage guests positively and professionally
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures would be helpful
- Ability to perform basic math for cash handling, retail math calculations, and order totals accurately
- Experience in serving alcohol responsibly in compliance with legal regulations; certifications such as TIPS or equivalent are a plus
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks during busy shifts in fast-paced settings
- Basic understanding of brewing techniques or beverage crafting is advantageous
