A growing commercial landscaping and outdoor services company is seeking an Account Manager to manage existing client relationships, support customer retention, and identify opportunities for continued account growth.
This is a customer-facing role focused on building strong client partnerships, understanding customer needs, coordinating internal resources, and ensuring service expectations are met. The ideal candidate will be organized, proactive, relationship-driven, and comfortable working across operations, sales, and client service teams.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Manage an assigned book of business and serve as the primary point of contact for existing clients
- Build strong relationships with new and existing customers throughout the assigned territory
- Work closely with internal teams to support service contracts, pricing renewals, enhancement opportunities, and client retention
- Act as the liaison between customers and internal departments, ensuring client questions, concerns, and requests are communicated clearly and followed through to resolution
- Develop and execute account strategies to support customer satisfaction, retention, and revenue growth
- Identify customer needs, challenges, and opportunities for additional services
- Network with prospective clients and support new relationship development within the assigned territory
- Manage client communication, account updates, and ongoing service expectations
- Support sales planning and execution to help meet regional goals and budgets
- Travel regularly throughout the assigned territory to meet with clients, understand their needs, and support account objectives
- Prepare account updates and reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information related to current client projects, service delivery, and customer activity
What We’re Looking For
- Experience in account management, client service, sales, business development, or a related customer-facing role
- Strong relationship-building skills with the ability to communicate effectively with customers, internal teams, and leadership
- Ability to manage multiple accounts, priorities, and follow-up items at the same time
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to resolve customer issues professionally
- Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision
- Comfortable working with people from different backgrounds, roles, and levels of an organization
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
- Experience with ERP or CRM systems preferred; Aspire and Salesforce experience is a plus
- Valid Texas driver’s license required
Preferred Background
- Experience in commercial landscaping, horticulture, agriculture, property services, facility services, or a related field
- Bachelor’s degree in Horticulture, Ag Business, Landscape Architecture, Business, or a related field preferred
- Relevant industry certification or equivalent related experience will also be considered
