Investor Relations Associate / Manager
Location: New York (on-site)
Compensation: $150,000 – $300,000 carry potential
The Opportunity
We are partnering with a high-performing, globally connected venture capital firm with over $1B AUM, investing across AI, infrastructure, robotics, energy, space tech, and life sciences.
With a track record of backing multiple category-defining businesses, the firm is now hiring its first dedicated Investor Relations professional. This is a unique opportunity to build and own the IR function, working directly with senior leadership and a world-class LP base.
The Role
This position sits at the centre of the firm’s capital ecosystem, focused on managing and expanding relationships with institutional investors, while supporting fundraising and co-investment activity.
You will work closely with both the investment team and LPs, gaining exposure to live deals and playing a key role in the firm’s growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead day-to-day management of LP relationships, including endowments, pension funds, and sovereign wealth funds
- Deliver high-quality investor communications, including portfolio updates and reporting
- Support fundraising efforts and engage prospective institutional investors
- Structure and execute co-investment opportunities (SPVs) alongside LPs
- Partner with the investment team across the full lifecycle (seed through to growth)
- Build and maintain CRM systems to ensure best-in-class investor tracking and processes
Candidate Profile
Experience
- 2–5 years’ experience in investor relations, fundraising, or a related field
- Background within a top-tier venture capital / private equity firm, investment bank (bulge bracket or elite boutique), or leading management consultancy
Skills & Expertise
- Experience working with or fundraising from institutional LPs
- Strong financial modelling capabilities, particularly in relation to co-investments or SPVs
- Experience preparing investor materials and portfolio updates
- Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple workstreams in a fast-paced environment
Education
- Strong academic background, ideally from a leading university
Personal Attributes
- Intellectually curious with a strong interest in venture capital and technology
- Commercially minded with excellent communication skills
- Comfortable operating in a lean, high-performance environment
