What are the responsibilities and job description for the Logistics Sales Representative position at Sanders Moving?
Sanders Moving & Storage has served Nashville and Middle Tennessee for more than 130 years. In addition to our moving and Designer Services divisions, we operate a warehouse and storage business serving 3PLs, freight brokers, and logistics companies that need reliable, flexible warehouse capacity and handling in the Nashville market. We are growing this line of business and building a modern, data-driven sales organization to support it.
The RoleWe are hiring a Logistics Sales Representative to grow our warehousing and 3PL customer base. This is a relationship sales role. Your customers are logistics companies, 3PLs, freight brokers, and regional distributors who need a dependable Nashville warehouse partner for receiving, storage, cross-docking, and final-mile handling. Deals are won on trust, responsiveness, and operational reliability, and the goal is long-term, recurring business rather than one-time transactions.
You will own the full relationship from prospecting through onboarding and ongoing account management, working closely with our warehouse operations team to make sure we deliver on what you sell.
What You Will Do- Build and manage a book of 3PL, logistics, freight, and distribution accounts across the Southeast that need Nashville-market warehouse capacity
- Prospect new accounts through outbound outreach, referrals, industry events, and networking within the logistics community
- Present Sanders warehouse capabilities: receiving, palletized and non-palletized storage, inventory handling, cross-docking, and local delivery
- Scope customer requirements and develop rate proposals in partnership with operations
- Onboard new accounts and manage the relationship through the life of the contract
- Maintain accurate pipeline, activity, and account records in Zoho CRM
- Participate in the weekly pipeline meeting and contribute to revenue forecasting
- Identify opportunities to expand existing accounts as their volume grows
- 2 years of B2B sales experience, ideally in 3PL, warehousing, freight brokerage, transportation, or supply chain services
- A relationship-first approach: you build trust with operations and procurement contacts and earn renewals through service, not just price
- Working knowledge of warehouse operations, freight terminology, and how logistics companies buy capacity
- Comfort with CRM tools and disciplined pipeline management
- Strong communication skills and the ability to translate customer requirements into workable operational plans
- Self-motivated, organized, and comfortable owning a territory
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel locally and occasionally regionally
