What are the responsibilities and job description for the Designer Sales Representative position at Sanders Moving?
Sanders Moving & Storage has served Nashville and Middle Tennessee for more than 130 years. Alongside our residential and commercial moving business, we operate a dedicated Designer Services division that supports interior designers, architects, builders, and stagers with white-glove receiving, inspection, climate-controlled storage, final-mile delivery, and installation. We are growing this division and building a modern, data-driven sales organization to support it.
The RoleWe are hiring a Designer Sales Representative to grow our book of design-trade clients across Middle Tennessee. This is a relationship sales role, not a transactional one. Your job is to become a trusted logistics partner to design firms, architecture practices, and builders, earning repeat business project after project.
You will own the full relationship: prospecting new firms, presenting our receiving and installation capabilities, walking clients through our warehouse, coordinating with our operations team on project timelines, and staying close to your accounts as their projects move from procurement through installation.
What You Will Do- Build and manage a territory of interior design firms, architects, builders, and home stagers
- Prospect new accounts through networking, referrals, trade events, showroom visits, and outbound outreach
- Present Sanders Designer Services capabilities: receiving, inspection, damage reporting, climate-controlled storage, white-glove delivery, and installation
- Develop project-level proposals and pricing in partnership with operations
- Maintain accurate pipeline, activity, and account records in Zoho CRM
- Serve as the primary point of contact for your accounts throughout active projects
- Participate in the weekly pipeline meeting and contribute to revenue forecasting
- Represent Sanders at ASID, AIA, NKBA, and other design-community events
- A relationship-first approach: you enjoy the long game and understand that trust earns repeat business
- Comfort with CRM tools and disciplined pipeline management
- Strong written and verbal communication; polished and professional with high-end clientele
- Self-motivated, organized, and able to manage multiple active projects at once
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel locally throughout Middle Tennessee
- 2 years of B2B sales or account management experience, ideally in the design trade, furniture, luxury logistics, or a related service industry
- Familiarity with how design firms procure and manage FF&E
- Existing relationships within the Nashville design community
