Arrowhead Regional Medical Center (ARMC) is looking for Social Service Practitioners III. Social Service Practitioners provide assessment, intervention and case management support to individuals; groups, children and/or families with complex health, psychosocial or economic problems. This position requires investigating and/or supporting cases involving neglect, abuse, emotional or behavioral problems, physical/mental disabilities or other health conditions. Cases may frequently involve assisting clients with emergency situations and assessment of risk, safety, and bio-psycho-social welfare.
Note: This is an Extra-Help position. Successful candidates shall be considered at-will throughout the term of their employment and will not attain status as a regular county employee.
ARROWHEAD REGIONAL MEDICAL CENTER
Located on a beautiful 70-acre campus in Colton, California (50 miles east of Los Angeles), Arrowhead Regional Medical Center (ARMC) is a state-of-the-art, public/nonprofit, 456-bed, university affiliated teaching hospital licensed by the State of California Department of Public Health and accredited by The Joint Commission. The hospital houses a regional burn center serving four counties (San Bernardino, Riverside, Mono and Inyo), a comprehensive stroke center, level I trauma center and a freestanding in-patient behavioral health center. Additionally, ARMC operates five community-based, primary care clinics and over 40 specialty care outpatient services. ARMC is the primary teaching hospital for the adjacently located California University of Science and Medicine (CUSM), the Inland Empire's newest medical school.
CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT
Pre-Employment Process: Applicants selected for these positions must pass a background investigation, drug test, and verification of employment history and education.
Shift Availability: Arrowhead Regional Medical Center (ARMC) operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. This Extra-Help position requires availability to work weekends and holidays shifts, as well as any assigned shift (Day, Swing, Night, Rotating). Shift differentials are offered for qualifying shifts

| Social Service Practitioner III | Education: A Master's degree in Social Work (MSW) from a school accredited by the Council of Social Work Education. Experience: Three (3) of full-time years of experience as a Social Service Practitioner in San Bernardino County or equivalent experience to a Social Service Practitioner in San Bernardino County. |
