A rapidly growing renewable energy services company is seeking a Vice President of Accounting & Finance to join its executive leadership team.
The organization specializes in the operation and maintenance of utility-scale and commercial solar energy assets across the United States and is focused on supporting the long-term energy transition through safe, reliable, and high-performing clean energy services.
This is a key leadership opportunity for an experienced finance executive to oversee all accounting, financial, and administrative functions while helping shape the company’s strategic growth.
About the Role
The VP of Accounting & Finance will be responsible for leading the company’s financial operations, including strategic planning, forecasting, reporting, budgeting, treasury, tax, and compliance activities. The successful candidate will partner closely with executive leadership to support business expansion, operational excellence, and financial performance.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic & Financial Planning
- Support executive leadership in defining and executing company strategy
- Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual financial forecasting
- Develop and implement financial and tax strategies
- Manage budgeting and capital planning processes
- Oversee cash flow forecasting and reporting
- Identify opportunities for process improvement, cost reduction, and system enhancements
- Monitor financial performance and implement corrective actions where necessary
Operations & Leadership
- Serve as a key member of the executive leadership team
- Lead FP&A, treasury, and tax functions
- Oversee transaction processing systems and financial controls
- Implement operational and financial best practices
- Partner with operational leaders to track KPIs, optimize costs, and support margin growth
- Deliver financial reporting to leadership, investors, and board stakeholders
- Coordinate external legal and insurance relationships
- Ensure compliance with financial, legal, and regulatory requirements
- Maintain audit-ready financial records and reporting standards
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate will possess:
- Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline
- 10 years of progressive accounting and finance experience
- Minimum 2 years in a senior leadership capacity
- Strong executive communication and stakeholder management skills
- Experience partnering with senior leadership teams
- Prior experience within renewable energy, infrastructure, utilities, or energy services sectors preferred

Current finance team size: 3 full-time employees.
Compensation & Benefits
- Base salary range: $190,000 – $220,000
