What are the responsibilities and job description for the Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant position at Samuel Dixon Family Health Center, Inc.?
Under the supervision of the Chief Medical Officer, the Physician Assistant (PA)/Nurse Practitioner (NP) will perform physical examinations, diagnose and treat illnesses, order and interpret lab tests, perform procedures, and provide patient education and counseling. Formally educated to examine patients, diagnose injuries and illnesses, and provide treatment for patients of all ages. Thorough medical knowledge and administrative skills in analyzing and coordinating health care activities. Requires creative skills and ability, resourcefulness and use of good judgment in the analysis and solution of medical administrative problems. Licensed professional to practice medicine in California with prior clinical experience coordinating health care activities, particularly with under-served communities. After hours on-call rotation and familiarity with electronic medical records.
