JOB TITLE: Site IT Administrator (Bilingual – Korean/English)
DEPARTMENT: Field Administration Team
REPORTS TO: Field Administration Manager, Project Manager, Project Director
LOCATION: Taylor, TX
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The Site IT Administrator supports day-to-day IT operations for Samsung E&A’s U.S. construction site office. This role is responsible for helping employees work efficiently by providing end-user support, maintaining site IT assets and systems, and coordinating with both the client’s IT organization and Samsung E&A headquarters.
This position works in a hybrid IT environment that relies on client-provided network, security, and IT resources while also supporting access to Samsung E&A internal systems. The role supports approximately 100 employees today, with potential growth to 200 employees or more.
- Provide daily IT support for desktops, printers, mobile devices, meeting room equipment, and other end-user technology
- Serve as the primary liaison with the client's IT department regarding network access, asset usage, connectivity, system permissions and technial requirements.
- Set up and configure computers, peripherals, software, and user workstations for new hires and existing employees
- Assist employees with access to company systems, shared resources, collaboration platforms, and business applications.
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, connectivity, and access issues in a timely manner
- Coordinate firewall opening requests, network access, and system connectivity with the client’s IT team and Samsung E&A headquarters
- Manage company IT assets, client-provided devices, inventory records, and equipment assignments
- Support software installation, updates, licensing, and user access requests
- Assist with server, network, storage, backup, and shared office technology administration as needed
- Maintain compliance with company policies, client security requirements, and site procedures
- Respond to user service requests and technical issues while maintaining proper tracking and follow-up.
- Document IT issues, asset records, support activities, and technical procedures
- Coordinate with vendors and service providers for repairs, equipment delivery, telecom, and other IT-related services
- Support office expansions, workstation moves, and other site operational IT needs
- Report, escalate, and document IT security concerns, incidents, or policy exceptions as required
- Promote good IT practices among users, including secure use of company assets and systems
- Identify recurring technical issues and recommend preventive or efficiency-focused improvements
- Perform other IT-related duties as assigned
- Support general site office operations and administrative coordination, as needed, in addition to core IT responsibilities
Qualification/Requirement
- Must be eligible to work in the US legally without visa sponsorship
- BA/BS degree or equivalent practical experience of related field
- At least 3 years of experience in IT support, systems administration, infrastructure support, or a related role
- (Equivalent combination of education, technical training, and relevant work experience may be considered)
- Proficiency in English and Korean (speaking, writing, reading).
- Experience supporting multi-user office environments required
- Strong knowledge of Windows-based environments, Microsoft 365, printers, standard business applications, and end-user support
- Working knowledge of networking, VPN, Wi-Fi, firewall coordination, and general infrastructure support
- Experience with asset management, software licensing, and user account administration
- Strong communication, coordination, troubleshooting, and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced site environment
Desirable/Preferred Skills
- Experience working in large-scale industrial construction projects (> $50M)
- Experience in construction site, project-based, industrial, or client-controlled IT environments preferred
- Familiarity with Korean corporate culture and multi-national project environments
- Exposure to general affairs operations including housing, transportation, and logistics
- International and multi-cultural experience a plus
