What You’ll Do
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain material handling equipment, including engines, electrical systems, hydraulics, drivetrains, brakes, steering, and lifting components.
- Perform preventative maintenance, inspections, and component rebuilds to ensure equipment operates according to manufacturer specifications.
- Complete service documentation, maintain parts inventory, and help keep the shop clean, organized, and safe.
- Follow all safety procedures, participate in technical training and certifications, and contribute to a strong Safety-First culture.
- High school diploma or GED and at least 1 year of experience in forklift repair, diesel, automotive, heavy equipment, or a related mechanical field.
- Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues and solve problems effectively.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills, along with a positive, team-oriented attitude.
- Valid driver’s license and the ability to work in a shop environment, lift up to 75 pounds, and participate in an on-call rotation as needed.
