Nature & Purpose of Position
Student assistants will be responsible for daily duties in the Enrollment Services Office as well as assisting various departments within the College of Osteopathic Medicine. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Provide high quality customer service to prospective and medical student doctors, guests, faculty, staff and all other constituents
- Perform basic clerical tasks, including answering phones, organization of assigned area, replying to professional emails, and performing opening and closing duties, if scheduled
- Ability to lead virtual and in person walking tours of campus
- Demonstrate professionalism, responsibility, and punctuality
- Maintain privacy and confidential information
- Attend required trainings and meetings
- Adhere to all University Policies and Procedures
- Assisting all COM Faculty and Staff members in any tasks assigned
Please note this position is located in Conroe, Texas
Other Requirements for the Position
- Fridays are preferred as those are required event days
- Have schedule availability to work a minimum 16 hrs/wk
- Must have transportation to SHSU-COM (Conroe, Texas)
- Diverse skillset to serve all departments in the college
- Must be able to perform physical labor (i.e. moving tables, tents, equipment)
