Assembler- Dar

JOB DESCRIPTION: 

This position requires the assembly of parts and use of various hand and power tools. This individual must be able to follow instructions from supervisors and other team leaders and co-workers. This position requires the individual to work at an acceptable pace and keep pace with work demands while assembling a quality product. This individual is responsible for making sure assembly meets company standards.

PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: 

Include but not limited to:

• Assembles units to meet our QC standards
• Work at a safe and productive pace while keeping pace with work demands
• Follow instructions when provided in written and verbal form
• Work by a priority list
• Follow safety rules
• Complete all paperwork relating to the jobs being produced and assembled
• Ability to work overtime if required
• Ability to use hand and power tools with proficiency
• Prioritize work based on direction from the supervisor and team leader’s direction
• Other duties as assigned by management

ENVIRONMENT & WORKING CONDITIONS:

• Ability to work in all weather conditions as job requires working inside and outside through the course of a single shift
• Ability to work in the natural element of heat and cold (production facility is not heated in winter nor cooled in summer)

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to work scheduled shifts
• Ability to bend, stoop, sit, grasp with hands, feel texture with fingers, cling, walk, twist, stand, and work on concrete for up to twelve hours per day up to six (6) days per week
• Must be able to work at heights of greater than 6 feet on a regular basis/as work dictates
• Ability to work overtime when necessary/required and with short notice

SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED: 

• Punctual
• Communicate clearly with others
• Must be familiar with and proficient with the use of hand and power tools
• Must be able to read job file orders and enter data efficiently into the tracking system
• Must be able to read a tape measure down to 1/16th of an inch

• Able to lift up to 25 lbs. unassisted
• Able to bend, stoop, and climb
• Able to work while standing on concrete for up to 12 hours a day

SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

• Able to read and write
• Demonstrate the ability to read a tape measure to 1/16” increments
• Ability to work with basic hand tools
