Legal Secretary – Los Angeles
A leading California education law firm is seeking a Legal Secretary to join its Los Angeles office. This role provides vital legal and administrative support to multiple attorneys in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage case files and prepare legal documents
- Handle extensive e-filing in administrative, state, and federal courts
- Draft, proofread, and edit correspondence
- Communicate with clients, courts, and attorneys
- Maintain and manage multiple attorneys’ calendars, deadlines, and appointments using programs such as Juralaw
- Coordinate meetings, travel arrangements, and expense reimbursements
- Ensure accuracy, confidentiality, and timeliness in all administrative tasks
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a litigation secretary supporting multiple attorneys
- Strong knowledge of court rules and procedures in state and federal jurisdictions
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Coyote timekeeping, and document management systems such as iManage
- Experience with transactional or administrative hearing matters is a plus
