Job Overview:
The Operations Manager will play a pivotal role in the efficient functioning of our salon and spa. You will oversee administrative tasks, support operational procedures, and ensure our team consistently delivers the highest standards of service and presentation. This role requires excellent communication skills, strong organizational abilities, and keen attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
Customer Experience & Standards
- Serve as the face of the salon and spa, setting and maintaining high standards for customer service, retail sales, and presentation.
- Ensure retail areas and front desk are always presentable, stocked, and organized.
- Assist with client bookings and appointments using salon software.
Team Leadership & Supervision
- Oversee daily operations, ensuring all team members are on task and meeting goals.
- Manage and delegate tasks to front desk team members.
- Supervise schedules of hair assistants and housekeepers.
- Provide clear daily task lists for team members.
Administrative & Operational Excellence
- Maintain effective communication with President and Manager to ensure smooth collaboration.
- Address operational issues proactively.
- Continuously improve overall efficiency of salon and spa operations.
Qualifications
Required:
- 2-3 years' experience in salon/spa management, operations, or administrative roles.
- Strong customer service skills with professional demeanor.
- Excellent organizational skills with high attention to detail.
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.
- Weekend availability (Saturday or Sunday).
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
Preferred:
- Knowledge of salon booking software.
- Experience with inventory management.
- Diplomatic conflict resolution skills.
