Saline Care Nursing & Rehabilitation is looking for a compassionate and motivated Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our rehabilitation team. Position Responsibilities
- Provide occupational therapy treatments under the direction of a licensed Occupational Therapist.
- Assist residents in improving daily living skills, mobility, strength, coordination, and functional independence.
- Implement individualized treatment plans designed to meet resident goals.
- Monitor resident progress and communicate updates to the supervising Occupational Therapist.
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
- Educate residents and families on therapeutic exercises, adaptive equipment, and safety techniques.
- Collaborate with nursing staff, physicians, therapists, and other members of the interdisciplinary care team.
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and facility regulations.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
- Current Illinois Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license.
- Previous experience in skilled nursing, rehabilitation, or long-term care is preferred but not required.
- Excellent communication, organization, and interpersonal skills.
