Overview

The AAR Administrator will be responsible for the configuration, administration, and maintenance of the Milestone XProtect After Action Review (AAR) system or an equivalent AAR solution. This role ensures the reliability, security, and performance of the AAR system in support of mission operations, providing post-event playback, video analytics, and system data management capabilities.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

• Administer, configure, and maintain the Milestone XProtect AAR system or equivalent AAR platform.
• Ensure proper system functionality including video capture, storage, retrieval, and playback.
• Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls in accordance with security policies.
• Troubleshoot system issues and coordinate with vendors or IT teams to resolve hardware or software problems.
• Perform system updates, patches, and regular backups to maintain optimal performance and data integrity.
• Develop and maintain documentation for system configurations, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and maintenance logs.
• Monitor system performance and provide recommendations for optimization and scalability.
• Support end-users with training, troubleshooting, and best practices for effective use of the AAR system.
• Collaborate with network and cybersecurity teams to ensure compliance with organizational and federal security standards.
• Support integration of the AAR system with other IT or surveillance platforms as needed.
  
  

Required Qualifications:

• Certification in administration and management of the Milestone XProtect AAR system or an equivalent AAR system.
• OR equivalent, creditable, and verifiable experience managing a Milestone XProtect AAR or equivalent system.
• Strong understanding of video management systems (VMS), network infrastructure, and data storage principles.
• Experience troubleshooting hardware and software issues in enterprise environments.
• Working knowledge of information assurance and cybersecurity compliance requirements.
• Excellent documentation, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  
  

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with system integration, scripting, or automation tools related to AAR or VMS platforms.
• Knowledge of DoD or federal IT environments and related security standards.
• Familiarity with Milestone XProtect VMS suite (Smart Client, Management Client, etc.).
• CompTIA or equivalent IT certifications (e.g., Security , Network , Server ).
  
  

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
