Position Overview
Responsible for building and growing a book of business through outbound sales efforts, this role focuses on generating and qualifying leads, moving opportunities through the sales process, and closing new business. Key Responsibilities
- Identify, develop, and close new business opportunities in the Indianapolis area.
- Own the entire sales cycle: prospecting, qualifying, presenting, proposing, and closing.
- Engage prospects via phone, email, LinkedIn, and networking.
- Conduct discovery calls to understand client needs, budget, and decision-making criteria.
- Develop and deliver client-focused proposals and Statements of Work (SOW).
- Maintain accurate pipeline and sales activity in CRM; report metrics weekly.
- Meet and exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth client onboarding.
- Act as a trusted advisor and represent the company's values and commitment to exceptional service.
- Minimum 5 years of experience selling subscription-based IT solutions (MSP or similar).
- Proven success building a book of business and hitting sales quotas.
- Strong hunter mentality with excellent prospecting and negotiation skills.
- Comfortable selling to C-level executives (CIO, CFO, CEO) and IT Directors.
- Proficient with CRM systems, LinkedIn, and modern sales tools.
- Familiar with qualifying frameworks like BANT (Budget, Authority, Need, Timing).
- Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
- Self-motivated, organized, and goal-oriented.
- Ability to travel locally for client meetings, prospecting and networking events.
- Bachelor's degree preferred but not required.
