POSTED ON 4/11/2026
AVAILABLE BEFORE 5/18/2026
Overview

A high-growth fintech company is seeking a Director of Business Development to lead expansion of a newly launched enterprise product focused on improving payment efficiency and working capital across complex supply chains. This is a critical, revenue-driving role with direct exposure to executive leadership.

The organization operates at the intersection of financial services and technology, delivering solutions that address long-standing inefficiencies in how the construction industry manage cash flow, supplier relationships, and project execution.

The Role

This individual will own the full enterprise sales motion, targeting large General Contractors ($1B-$10B) and driving adoption of a strategic payment solution designed to modernize traditional workflows.

The role requires a consultative, executive-facing seller who can navigate long sales cycles, align multiple stakeholders, and position financial solutions in a way that ties directly to operational and financial outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

Enterprise Sales Execution

  • Own the full sales cycle from prospecting through close across large enterprise accounts ($1B revenue)
  • Lead strategic conversations with CFOs, Controllers, Procurement leaders, and executive stakeholders
  • Translate complex financial solutions into clear business impact, including cash flow optimization, risk reduction, and operational efficiency
  • Drive multi-threaded sales processes across finance, operations, and procurement functions
  • Partner cross-functionally with internal teams (product, legal, implementation) to advance and close deals

Pipeline Development & Market Expansion

  • Build and execute targeted outbound strategies to develop pipeline within defined verticals
  • Leverage partnerships, industry networks, and marketing channels to identify and penetrate new accounts
  • Maintain disciplined pipeline management and forecasting

Account Strategy & Growth

  • Establish and maintain senior-level relationships across client organizations
  • Drive successful onboarding and long-term adoption post-sale
  • Identify expansion opportunities and develop account growth strategies
  • Conduct executive-level business reviews tied to measurable outcomes

Ideal Background

  • 8–15 years of B2B sales experience
  • Proven success selling complex financial, fintech, or enterprise software solutions
  • Experience in one or more of the following:
    • Supply chain finance / working capital solutions
    • Payments / fintech infrastructure
    • Construction, infrastructure, or project-based industries
    • ERP or financial systems selling into enterprise accounts
  • Track record of closing large, multi-stakeholder deals with long sales cycles
  • Strong financial acumen — able to speak credibly about cash flow, working capital, and ROI
  • Experience engaging and influencing C-level stakeholders
Profile

  • Highly consultative seller with strong executive presence
  • Comfortable operating in ambiguous, fast-moving environments
  • Strong ownership mindset with the ability to build from zero to one
  • Data-driven and disciplined in pipeline and deal management
  • Collaborative, but capable of independently driving outcomes

Additional Details

  • Remote-first with travel as needed (~25–30%)
  • Competitive base uncapped variable equity
  • High-visibility role tied directly to company growth initiatives

Why This Role This is an opportunity to step into a category-defining product at a company entering its next growth phase. The role offers direct impact on revenue, exposure to executive leadership, and the ability to shape how a large, underserved market approaches financial operations.
