Sales Hatch is partnering with a well-established commercial facilities services provider to hire a
Business Development Manager
focused on new business growth across the Northern Charlotte market, including Concord, Mooresville, and Statesville. This is a field-based, hunter-style role ideal for a proven B2B sales professional who thrives on building relationships, opening doors, and closing complex service-based deals.

This role will work alongside an existing sales representative, with a clearly defined territory and strong operational support behind the sale.

About the Role

The Business Development Manager is responsible for driving new revenue by prospecting, developing, and closing commercial clients across a variety of industries, including office, industrial, and educational facilities. This individual will take a consultative approach to selling, partnering with decision-makers to understand their needs and deliver tailored service solutions.

The ideal candidate is self-motivated, organized, and experienced in selling recurring B2B services, with a track record of meeting or exceeding quota in a field-based environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and grow a pipeline of new commercial clients within an assigned Northern Charlotte territory
  • Prospect and engage decision-makers through cold outreach, networking, and in-person meetings
  • Conduct face-to-face presentations with executives, facility leaders, and influencers
  • Utilize a consultative sales approach to uncover needs and develop value-based service solutions
  • Prepare and respond to RFPs, including pricing, proposals, and formal presentations
  • Manage sales activity, pipeline, and forecasting using CRM tools (Salesforce)
  • Collaborate closely with operations teams to ensure smooth onboarding and long-term client success
  • Attend trade shows, networking events, and industry functions to build brand presence and relationships

What We're Looking For

  • 7–10 years of successful B2B service sales experience
  • Proven history of meeting or exceeding annual sales quotas (5 years preferred)
  • Strong prospecting skills with experience opening net-new accounts
  • Experience selling complex or recurring services in a consultative environment
  • Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally with operations and support teams
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience preparing and responding to RFPs
  • Active involvement in professional associations or networking groups preferred
  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Valid driver's license and ability to pass background and drug screening

Compensation & Benefits

  • Base Salary:
    $80,000–$100,000
  • On-Target Earnings:
    $125,000–$150,000
  • Uncapped commission structure
