Facilitators for Assistant Principal Job-Alike Meetings (2 Positions), INTERNAL CANDIDATES ONLY
Overview:
We are seeking two experienced and dynamic educational leaders to serve as Facilitators for our monthly Assistant Principal Job-Alike Meetings. These sessions bring together assistant principals from across the district to collaborate, problem-solve, share best practices, and deepen their leadership practice in a supportive professional learning community.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Co-design and co-facilitate monthly job-alike meetings for assistant principals aligned to district priorities and leadership development goals
- Create agendas that respond to the needs of participants and provide opportunities for collaborative learning, reflection, and planning
- Lead discussions through structured protocols and curate relevant resources to support ongoing development particularly in the areas of expertly navigating the conduct work flow in Aspen, case managing/documenting student progress and effectiveness of academic, behavioral and social emotional interventions, use of restorative practices, guiding implementation of explicit SEL lessons, etc.
- Foster a culture of trust, equity, and shared learning among assistant principals
- Collect and respond to feedback from participants to continuously improve session design and facilitation
- Collaborate with district leadership to ensure alignment with system-wide initiatives
Qualifications:
- Current assistant principal with experience preferably 3 years of experience
- Strong planning and facilitation skills and the ability to lead adult learning
- Deep understanding of school leadership challenges and opportunities
- Commitment to equity, continuous improvement, and collaborative problem-solving
- Ability to build relationships and foster professional community and maintain a confidential space
Time Commitment:
- Monthly meetings
- Second Thursday of each month: 8:30-10:00
- Sept. 11, Oct. 9, Nov. 13, Dec. 11, Jan. 8, Feb. 12, Mar. 12, April 9, May 14
- Timely, in-advance prep for all meetings and additional coordination as needed
Compensation: Annual stipend of $1750 each, half paid in December and the balance paid in June
