Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join our dedicated healthcare team. In this vital role, you will provide expert patient care across diverse medical settings, ensuring safety, comfort, and optimal health outcomes. Hours: Hours will vary, based on needs for RN coverage (generally needs will occur on weekends, holidays, and during staff vacations).
Wage: PRN staff receive $1/hr more due to PRN staff not receiving benefits. Holiday pay to be paid at hourly rate equal to hours worked during a holiday (Ex: 12 hours of pay in addition to hours worked for a 12-hour shift). Shift differential of $2/hr for evening (2p-10p) and night shift (10p-6a). Weekend differential of $1/hr starting at 6pm Friday and ending at 6am on Monday.
Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments, including vital signs, physical examinations, and health history documentation using Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems. This facility utilizes Point Click Care.
- Administer medications and injections accurately following HIPAA guidelines and aseptic techniques.
- Manage complex clinical procedures such as IV infusions, catheterizations, wound care, and tube feeding.
- Collaborate with physicians to develop and implement treatment plans.
- Conduct diagnostic evaluations such as laboratory specimen collection and phlebotomy when applicable.
- Educate patients and their families on health coaching, discharge planning, medication administration, and chronic disease management including geriatrics and memory care.
Requirements
- Valid RN license in good standing with current state registration.
- Proven experience in diverse clinical environments such as long-term care facilities.
- Proficiency with EMR/EHR systems like Point Click Care for accurate medical documentation.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and physiology.
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities or developmental delays is highly desirable.
- Ability to perform aseptic techniques during invasive procedures such as venipuncture or catheter care.
- Excellent patient assessment skills coupled with the ability to respond appropriately in emergency situations such as falls or acute pain episodes.
- Knowledge of infection control protocols and HIPAA compliance standards.
- Additional certifications such as Basic Life Support (BLS) .
