Communications Agent (PBX)
POSITION OBJECTIVE |
As a Communications Agent we set the first impression for Hotel Bennett by answering incoming calls efficiently and with a friendly attitude. To always show compassion, consideration, and consistently provide accurate and precise information to our guests with a smile in our voice.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS |
- Answer incoming calls and direct to appropriate staff.
- Take and execute wake-up calls.
- Receive guest laundry and dispatch for delivery.
- Resolve guest challenges.
- Take guests and employees’ requests and enter it into the computer system.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE |
- High school graduate or equivalent education required
- Must be able to work effectively in a stressful environment, communicate with others, effectively deal with customers and accept constructive criticism from supervisors.
REQUIREMENTS |
- Communicate in English to management, co-workers, and to the guests’ understanding.
- Provide legible communication. Have a positive attitude and always be willing to assist guests as well as co-workers.
- Basic Computer Skills are required.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS |
- Must be able to sit for long periods of time
- Talking and hearing occur continuously in the process of communicating with guests, supervisors, and other employees
- Ability to spend extended lengths of time viewing a computer screen
