Duties
- Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems accurately to process customer transactions swiftly and efficiently
- Menu knowlege and giving samples upon request
- Handle cash, credit, and mobile payments with precision and ensure proper cash handling procedures are followed
- Upsell menu items and promote daily specials to enhance sales opportunities
- Maintain clean and organized checkout areas, including merchandising and stocking products to ensure attractive displays
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries professionally via phone or in person, adhering to proper phone etiquette
- Assist with inventory management tasks such as stock replenishment and product rotation to keep the store well-stocked and inviting
Qualifications
- Preference given to prior experience with Toast POS system
- Previous cashiering experience in a retail or grocery store environment is preferred but not required; training will be provided
- Strong communication skills in English; bilingual abilities are a plus for serving diverse customers
- basic math skills for handling transactions accurately
- Demonstrated ability to provide exceptional customer service with a friendly, positive attitude
- Supervising experience is advantageous for those interested in growth opportunities within the team
- Knowledge of grocery store operations, merchandising, and retail sales practices is beneficial
