Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and customer-focused Auto Body Service Advisor to join our fast-paced automotive service team. In this vital role, you will serve as the primary point of contact for customers seeking auto body repairs and related services. Your enthusiasm, mechanical knowledge, and exceptional communication skills will ensure a seamless experience for clients while driving service sales and maintaining high standards of quality. Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and listen carefully to understand their auto body repair needs and concerns
- Explain repair procedures, estimates, and available services clearly and transparently
- Prepare detailed auto estimating and service writing documentation for repairs such as collision damage, paint jobs, or frame straightening
- Coordinate with technicians and mechanics to ensure timely completion of repairs including auto body repair, paint work, and mechanical diagnostics
- Safely transport vehicles between our Watertown and Medford locations
- Manage cash handling responsibilities accurately while processing payments and issuing receipts
- Maintain thorough records of all service transactions, repair orders, and customer interactions
Experience
- Proven dealership experience or background in automotive service management is highly preferred
- Strong knowledge of automotive diagnostics, mechanical systems, and repair procedures including transmissions, air brakes, alignment, shocks & struts, diesel engine repair, and vehicle maintenance
- Experience in auto estimating, service writing, or auto body repair is essential
- Familiarity with upselling techniques within an automotive setting to maximize service opportunities
- Customer service experience demonstrating professionalism and effective communication skills
- Knowledge of automotive sales processes is a plus but not mandatory
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
