What are the responsibilities and job description for the SILC Graduate Assistant - Student Employment position at Saint Xavier University?
Responsible for supporting the work of the Saint Xavier University Simulation and Integrated Learning Center (SILC) under the School of Nursing and Health Sciences. The primary focus is to be a resource and provide educational direction and feedback to undergraduate nursing students in skills development. Additional opportunities to interact with students during simulation activities are available as time allows. Communicates with individuals both internal and external to the department and organization to coordinate work.

- Facilitate learning and practice opportunities in the clinical skills practice lab by offering reinforcement and feedback on skills development
- Develop and utilize resources for students to support their learning
- Assist with marketing and promotion of the Simulation and Integrated Learning Center (SILC) products, resources, and events
- Participate with various forms of simulation, including setting up and tearing down of equipment, providing SBAR report, and controlling simulators
- Act as a resource to the SILC undergraduate federal work study students
- Assist in research being conducted in the center
- Performs other job duties as assigned

- Must be a full-time registered graduate student during the time of appointment.
- Hands on nursing experience in the clinical setting and confidence with fundamental skills.
- Proficiency with basic computer programs include Office, Excel, Google, PowerPoint and Microsoft and Apple systems.
