What are the responsibilities and job description for the Part-time High School Custodian position at Saint Johns Unified School District 1?
Qualifications:
- High school diplomaor equivalent preferred.
- Up to one year's experience as a custodian preferred.
- Ability to perform physical activities such as walking, climbing, stooping, squatting, pulling, or lifting. Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds.
- Ability to develop and maintain effective relationships with fellow employees.
- Able to obtain or possess an Arizona DPS IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card
Reports to: Principal
Job Goal:To provide students with an attractive, clean environment in which to learn and develop.
Performance Responsibilities:
- Keeps assigned area of building neat and clean.
- Cleans classrooms including chalkboards, dusting, and emptying trash receptacles.
- Scrubs, mops, and disinfects hard surfaces in restrooms and other areas regularly.
- Vacuums and cleans carpeted areas on a regularschedule and as required.
- Moves furniture and equipment for cleaning and special events.
- May do light maintenance such as changing light bulbs, but informs principal of needed maintenance.
- Reports immediately any vandalism to school property.
- Assumes responsibility for security of his/her assigned area. All doors and windows locked and lights turned off as needed.
- Performs other related duties as required.
Term of Employment:10 months part-time. Salary established by the Governing Board. Employee benefits in accordance with district policies.
