    Under the general direction of the Assistant General Manager and Club General Manager, the IT Director is responsible for the strategic planning, procurement, provisioning, installation, configuration, operation, and maintenance of all systems hardware, software, and related infrastructure.

     

    Due to the nature of the hospitality and events industry, this role requires a flexible schedule, including availability for extended hours, weekends, and after-hours on-call support.

     

    Strategic Planning & Leadership

    ·         Develop and execute a multi-year IT strategic roadmap aligned with the Club’s business objectives and member service goals.

    ·         Oversee the annual IT budget, including forecasting, procurement, and cost management.

    ·         Present technology updates, risks, and recommendations to senior leadership and/or the Board.

    ·         Lead vendor selection, contract negotiation, and ongoing relationship management for technology solutions and managed services.

    ·         Collaborate with department heads to identify and implement technology solutions that enhance member engagement, streamline operations, and support revenue growth.

     

    Systems & Network Administration

    ·         Install, configure, and maintain IT infrastructure, including personal computers, servers, Novell/UNIX systems, JIC portal, and network devices.

    ·         Manage LAN/WAN performance, network cabling, and related hardware (modems, disk drives, printers, data acquisition boards, etc.).

    ·         Plan and implement network security: firewalls, encryption, user access controls, file permissions, and backup/disaster recovery.

    ·         Monitor and troubleshoot network, system, and application performance to identify and resolve operational issues.

     

    Maintenance & Support

    ·         Schedule and perform regular maintenance and upgrades across all systems, following company and vendor standards.

    ·         Maintain IT inventory and documentation of equipment, vendors, and system configurations.

    ·         Provide user support, including timely communication on system maintenance, updates, and downtime.

     

    Software & Licensing

    ·         Oversee software and application development, installations, and upgrades.

    ·         Ensure compliance and maintenance of software licensing for the organization.

     

    Performance Monitoring & Optimization

    ·         Analyze system usage patterns and their impact on availability and performance.

    ·         Proactively identify and implement improvements to enhance system reliability and efficiency.

    ·         Recommend and implement operational enhancements and preventive maintenance procedures.

     

    General Responsibilities

    ·         Maintain confidentiality of all data processed or accessed via the network.

    ·         Perform other related duties as assigned.

    Education/Training/Certifications/Licenses

    • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field required.
    • Professional certifications preferred, including:

    ·         Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE)

    ·         Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA)

    ·         Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)

     

     

    Physical Requirements

    While performing the duties of this role, the employee is frequently required to sit and occasionally required to stand, walk, reach, handle objects, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, talk, or hear. Sensory abilities such as tasting or smelling may also be occasionally needed. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, frequently up to 10 pounds, and occasionally up to 100 pounds. Specific vision requirements include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
