Primary Responsibilities
- Develop & Execute IT Transformation Strategy: Starting with a full understanding of the tech stack in terms of cost, usage, and interconnectedness, define and lead a multi-year roadmap aligned with business goals: becoming the most trusted/indispensable partner through global scale deeply personalized local expertise. Prioritize initiatives in ERP, warehouse management systems (WMS), transportation management (TMS), order management, and customer portals.
- Modernize Core Systems & Architecture: Specifically in the areas of 1 CRM for both Customer Service and Sellers to leverage, Lead migration from legacy on-premises systems to cloud-native, modular architectures. Implement integrated platforms for end-to-end visibility (Drivers à Sellers à Customer Service). In addition to commercial, this role should support the Supply Chain team to better measure On Time Delivery and enable commercial functionality at the Point of Sale.
- Drive Digital Customer & Operational Excellence Enable frictionless B2B experiences: omnichannel e-commerce (e.g. enabling returns in the system), AI-powered product recommendations, real-time pricing/inventory, and measurable ROI dashboards for customers. This role should also develop a 2027 roadmap for the new e-commerce site for the ODP Business Solutions team.
- Lead Change Management & Adoption: Partner with business units (sales, supply chain, finance, customer service) to drive adoption of new tools and processes. Specially, as we design a local market structure and pilot those markets in Atlanta, Dallas, and Phoenix, the IT Transformation leader needs to enable the markets success with dashboard and scorecard visibility.
- Governance, Risk: Support the pricing team in the upgrade and enablement of the Pros tool that matches our future state processes.
- Team Leadership & Budget Oversight: Ensure we are making smart decisions to reduce our tech stack while increasing the speed, functionality, user experience, and customer experience of our tools.
- 10 years in a leadership role, with 5 years leading enterprise-wide digital/IT transformations in distribution, wholesale, logistics, supply chain, or B2B retail industries (office products, industrial supplies, foodservice distribution, or similar highly preferred).
- Proven track record delivering complex programs: ERP implementations (SAP S/4, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics 365), cloud migration (AWS/Azure/Google), e-commerce platforms, WMS/TMS upgrades, and data/analytics modernization.
- Strong understanding of B2B distribution challenges: multi-channel order management, inventory optimization, last-mile delivery, pricing complexity, customer segmentation (SMB, education, enterprise), and supply chain resilience.
- Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or related field; MBA or advanced degree a plus.
- Certifications: PMP, ITIL, Lean Six Sigma, AWS/Azure, or similar highly valued.
- Deep knowledge of distribution-specific technologies: Pros Pricing, SalesForce.com, Blue Yonder, SAP EWM, HighJump, or similar.
- Familiarity with emerging tech in distribution: AI/ML for demand sensing, blockchain for traceability, IoT for warehouse/asset tracking, RPA for order processing.
- Exceptional communication & influence skills — able to translate tech strategy into business value for non-technical leaders.
- Results-oriented with a bias for action; thrives in fast-paced, matrixed environments.
- Ability to challenge, respectfully and ensure we’re driving the business to succeed on the tasks
