- Respond to Pastoral Staff requests
- Assist Teen Leadership with questions and planning
- Gather announcements
- Servant Keeper (data base) logging
- Weekly attendance for Sunday School and Worship services
- Michigan District Church of the Nazarene communication
- Provide monthly statistics along with questions that are provided
- Office responsibilities:
- Board Meeting prep and maintaining notebook of Church Board minutes
- Addressing inquiries (telephone calls or in person visits to the church, vendors) of those seeking assistance
- AED maintenance as required monthly
- Be available for HeadStart SISD questions
- Shopping for supplies needed for church functions
- Funeral and Wedding preparations
- Onboarding new employees and maintaining employee personnel files
- Scheduling meals for members who are scheduled for surgery and new mothers
- Schedule/ assign plans for baby and bridal showers of church members
- Gifts for Mother’s Day, Graduating Seniors, Father’s Day, Baby Dedications
- Visitor letters
- Ordering Sunday School supplies and Bible Study materials for small groups
- Logging and ordering office supplies
- Provide Pastoral Monthly On-Call Schedule to King Communications
- Provide monthly “Global Ministry Base” amount
- Assist Pastor as needed with Annual Pastor’s Report to the District by providing names of new members, deaths, baptisms, etc.
- Entry of new attendees
- Maintaining and distributing Church Directories
- Keep prayer list updated
- Fielding questions from church people who call or raise questions during the week
- Prepare weekly Sunday bulletin
- Answer phone calls—direct them as needed
- Sorting and distribution of mail
- Proven experience in office management or administrative roles within a church or medical office setting with strong clerical skills
- Expertise in scheduling management, calendar coordination, and multi-line phone systems with excellent phone etiquette
- Demonstrated proficiency in QuickBooks for bookkeeping, budgeting, payroll processing, and financial record keeping
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to supervise team members and manage multiple priorities effectively
- Experience in event planning, vendor management, human resources functions, and training & development initiatives
- Excellent communication skills to foster positive interactions with staff, congregation members, vendors, and community partners
- Ability to handle sensitive information discreetly while maintaining professionalism at all times

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
