As a Elementary School Based Therapist at Sagent Behavioral Health, you will implement mental health services to individuals in the school setting and their families. The School Based Therapist works collaboratively with the school district, school personnel, all Sagent/FSSI divisions and also other community-based agencies as referral sources.

As a Elementary School Based Therapist at Sagent Behavioral Health, you will implement mental health services to individuals in the school setting and their families. The School Based Therapist works collaboratively with the school district, school personnel, all Sagent/FSSI divisions and also other community-based agencies as referral sources.

- Manages a full-time caseload (25–30 clients), providing billable school-based mental health services and coordinating care with students, families, and school staff.
- Develops and implements individualized treatment plans aligned with child and family needs, and participates in IEPs and school meetings as requested.
- Completes timely, accurate documentation, including case notes within 24 hours, maintaining compliant electronic health records and required reporting data.
- Collaborates closely with school personnel, School-Based Coordinators, and clinical supervisors, attending supervision and maintaining adherence to organizational policies.
- Supports program needs during school breaks, assists with referrals to other services, and performs additional duties as assigned based on school schedules.
- Holds an active, unrestricted Iowa license (or in-training license) in social work, marriage & family therapy, or counseling, and successfully passes a background check.
- Demonstrates a positive, cooperative work style and professional conduct.
- Possesses a valid driver’s license, auto insurance, reliable transportation, and the ability to travel within a 5-mile radius of the assigned clinic.
- Proficient in computer use, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and electronic health record (EHR) systems.
- Meets physical requirements to work in client environments, including walking, climbing stairs, crouching, stooping, sitting on floors, and standing for extended periods.

- Licensed: $ 62,000 – 130,000
- In Training: $ 58,000 – 108,000
- Actual compensation may be determined by various factors such as education, experience, skillset, internal equity, schedule and/or location.
