Position Summary:
We are seeking an organized and dependable Production Coordinator to support daily manufacturing operations in our aerospace and simulation production environment. This position coordinates production schedules, materials, documentation, and performs shipping and receiving tasks.
The Production Coordinator helps monitor work in progress, identify production needs and delays, maintain accurate records, and ensure manufacturing personnel have the information and materials needed to complete assigned work.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate production schedules, priorities, materials, and documentation.
- Track work in progress and report delays, shortages, and production issues.
- Maintain job records, work orders, schedules, and status updates.
- Ensure production personnel have current drawings, instructions, and materials.
- Receive and verify incoming materials against purchase orders and packing lists.
- Prepare, package, label, and document outgoing shipments.
- Report damaged, missing, incorrect, or nonconforming materials.
Qualifications:
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and follow tasks through completion.
- Basic knowledge of manufacturing schedules, work orders, bills of material, and shipping documents.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office; experience with ERP or scheduling systems is preferred.
- Ability to work effectively across multiple departments.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous manufacturing, production coordination, planning, or scheduling experience.
- Proficient computer and data-entry skills.
- Dependable attendance and attention to detail.
- Aerospace or custom manufacturing experience is preferred.
Work Environment & Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, and kneeling in a shop environment.
- Ability to communicate effectively in person and follow verbal/written instructions.
- Exposure to tools, machinery, and materials consistent with a fabrication shop environment.
