Position Summary:

We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented General Assembly / Fabricator to support the production of aerospace and simulation-based training equipment. This position is responsible for assembling components, reading technical drawings, fabricating structural parts, and assisting in the installation of electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems as required. The ideal candidate is hands-on, mechanically inclined, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assemble parts and components according to drawings, schematics, and work instructions.
• Operate common hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment (e.g., drills, saws, grinders, riveters, etc.).
• Cut, fit, and install materials such as aluminum, steel, plastics, and composites.
• Perform layout, drilling, deburring, and fastening using rivets, screws, and other hardware.
• Assist with the integration of electrical wiring, harnesses, or control panels (training provided).
• Ensure quality standards are met and report any discrepancies or issues to supervision.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area while following all safety procedures.
• Perform additional tasks as required to support production goals.

Qualifications:

• Mechanical aptitude and hands-on experience with tools and assembly work.
• Ability to read and follow basic engineering drawings and assembly instructions.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Prior experience in manufacturing, metal fabrication, or aerospace assembly preferred.
• Willingness to learn new skills and support a variety of production tasks.
• Strong work ethic, reliability, and team collaboration.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform physical tasks throughout the workday.
• Ability to read tape measures and basic shop drawings.
• Comfortable working with tools and fabrication equipment.
• Occasional overtime may be required based on project timelines.

• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Frequent standing, walking, bending, and kneeling in a shop environment.
• Ability to communicate effectively in person and follow verbal/written instructions.
• Exposure to tools, machinery, and materials consistent with a fabrication shop environment.
