General description:
As a Business Development Associate (BDA) the candidate will work as a team member of Safeguards Technology’ marketing and engineering departments presenting and enhancing the company’s product line of security solutions to architects, engineers and security designers. The BDA will develop key relationships with end users and their representatives to help shape expectations and strategic offerings for upcoming bids, as well as incorporating STL’s specifications into security projects. BDA will search and identify applicable bid invitations and project offerings and will assist in putting together proposals.
Key Essential Work Performed:
- Achieve aggressive sales target for Safeguards Technology LLC.
- Build positive relationships with physical security systems designers.
- Grow current customer base and target new accounts.
- Develop and pursue sales leads.
- Analyze customer needs and requirements and present total physical security solutions.
- Prepare bids and proposals.
- Opportunity research and recommendations.
- Coordinate/prioritize with internal project team.
- Network/relationship management.
- Actively develop and improve sales presentations.
- Update and maintain CRM entries

Position Requirements:
- 5-7 years of experience in business development.
- Solid understanding of security systems including Alarms, Barriers, CCTV Systems.
- Self generating sales and cold calling experience required.
- Self-motivated, work independently.
- Outstanding organizational and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to make professional sales presentations to all levels and various types of organizations.
- Outstanding customer service skills and soft skills.
- Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience.
- Exceptional communication skills.
- 20% travel. Valid US passport
