Role Overview
We are seeking a motivated and coachable Business Development Representative (BDR) Intern to support our sales team. This is a hands-on, in-person role focused on developing foundational sales skills, generating new business opportunities, and contributing directly to pipeline growth.
This internship offers structured training, real-world sales experience, and the opportunity to work closely with experienced sales professionals.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct outbound prospecting, including:
- Minimum 150 cold calls per week
- Outreach via email and other communication channels
- Generate at least 5 net-new qualified appointments per week
- Build and maintain prospect lists through research and data sourcing
- Perform ongoing CRM hygiene and database cleanup
- Support the sales team with lead generation and pipeline development
- Participate in sales training sessions and team meetings
- Potentially run first-time discovery appointments as skills develop
Requirements
- Strong interest in sales, business development, or entrepreneurship
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Comfortable with high-volume outbound calling
- Highly organized with attention to detail (especially in CRM management)
- Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and resilient
- Ability to take feedback and apply coaching quickly
- Basic computer skills (CRM systems, email platforms, spreadsheets)
- Professional demeanor and strong work ethic
- Ability to work in-person in a fast-paced sales environment
