What are the responsibilities and job description for the Registered Nurse (RN) - Largely Office-Based Social Services Position position at SAFE RESIDENTIAL CARE LLC?
Safe Residential Care LLC
Full-Time | Salaried Position
Cumberland County, Maine
Safe Residential Care LLC provides residential services for adults diagnosed with developmental disabilities and/or autism. Our residential program homes are located throughout Cumberland County, and our teams work together to provide safe, consistent, person-centered supports to the individuals we serve.
We are seeking a knowledgeable, organized, and collaborative Registered Nurse (RN) to join the Safe Residential Care Medical Department.
This is a primarily office-based nursing position with a strong focus on medical data review, regulatory compliance, medication oversight, CRMA training, staff education, and quality improvement. It is an excellent opportunity for an RN who enjoys using their clinical knowledge beyond traditional bedside nursing and is interested in combining nursing expertise with education, oversight, and systems improvement.
While the majority of the position will be based in the office completing medical reviews, training employees, and supporting compliance activities, the RN will also have opportunities for hands-on client interaction, residential home visits, and direct clinical support when needed.
Major responsibilities include:
- Quarterly reviews of medical and health-related data for individuals receiving services and oversight of the information collected for those reviews.
- CRMA training and staff education will be another major responsibility of this position.
- Participate in a rotating medical on-call schedule with other members of the Medical Department.
- Collaboratinh with the Medical Department and Quality Assurance on broader agency medical systems.
What We're Looking For
The ideal candidate is an RN who enjoys the analytical, educational, and collaborative sides of nursing and is comfortable balancing clinical knowledge with compliance and staff development.
Candidates should be:
- Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN).
- Highly organized and detail-oriented.
- Comfortable reviewing significant amounts of medical data and documentation.
- Comfortable working with adults diagnosed with developmental disabilities and/or autism.
- Interested in compliance, quality improvement, medication management, and staff development.
- Experience in residential services, intellectual and developmental disabilities, autism services, medication administration, CRMA programs, staff education, medical auditing, or quality assurance is highly valued.
Why Join Safe Residential Care?
This position provides an opportunity to use nursing experience in a different and meaningful way.
Rather than spending each day in a traditional bedside setting, you will have the opportunity to use your clinical knowledge to review medical information, identify trends, educate staff, train CRMAs, improve systems, collaborate on individual care, and strengthen medical practices across the agency.
You will also remain connected to the people we serve through office-based client interaction, residential visits, and hands-on nursing opportunities when appropriate.
Most importantly, you will be joining a collaborative Medical Department, where you will have other medical professionals to work with, consult with, and support as the team works together to address the medical needs of the individuals and programs throughout Safe Residential Care.
Join the Safe Residential Care Medical Department and help us strengthen the systems, education, and clinical oversight that support quality care every day.
