Sacramento Area Sewer District (SacSewer) is currently accepting applications for an Real Estate Officer position. Applications will be screened after the following filing deadlines at 5PM:

Real Estate Officers perform a broad range of technical, specialized, and detailed tasks associated with appraisal, acquisition, leasing, property management and asset management. Incumbents perform the more routine duties and are expected to follow them through to completion or handle complex assignments with substantial instruction and supervision of the technical specifics involved. Incumbents perform complex assignments, exercise judgment, and make choices among possible actions within a framework of established procedures, sometimes without clear precedent. Work is normally reviewed upon completion and for overall results.
Minimum Qualifications:
Either: 1. A bachelor’s degree or higher degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in real estate, business administration, public administration, economics, planning, law, or other closely related fields.
Note: The law degree is not a Criminal Justice, Police Science, or related degree.
Or: 2. Completion of 60 semester (90 quarter) units from an accredited college or university
AND
Two years of experience in the class of Real Estate Specialist in Sacramento Area Sewer District service.
Or: 3. One year of full-time experience in governmental, public utility, or commercial real estate, performing duties which have included: preparing appraisal reports, negotiating for purchase or donation of rights-of-way or property ownership, securing title, property management, and/or negotiating and processing lease agreements.
Note: Additional experience performing duties as described above may substitute for the above educational requirement on a year for year basis up to two years.
