Sacramento Area Sewer District (SacSewer) is currently accepting applications for an Information Security Officer position. Applications will be screened after the following filing deadlines at 5PM:

Under the direction of the Internal Services Department Director, the Information Security Officer is responsible for leading the information security staff and SacSewer’s Information Security Program.

They direct, manage, develop, and implement Sacramento Area Sewer District (SacSewer) technology and information security programs in compliance with federal, state, local regulations. Utilizing National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST 800 series) Cybersecurity Framework, and Center for Internet Security (CIS) Critical Security Controls (CSC), for a risk informed decision making process to secure SacSewer technology and processes department wide. Provides leadership, coordination, and operational management of the security team to continually improve the security business and operations, networks and systems district-wide.

Minimum Qualifications:

A bachelor’s degree, or higher, from an accredited college or university in Cyber, or Information Security, Computer Science, Information Systems, Industrial Control Systems, Information Systems Security, Computer Engineering, or other closely related field

AND

Seven (7) years of full-time paid experience with increasing responsibility in secure networking, secure systems administration and management, secure programming practices, and managing cybersecurity application and infrastructure. This experience must have included three (3) years of full-time paid supervisory experience in direct support of information security programs that include industrial control systems support.

AND

Possess and maintain a current, cybersecurity credential, such as the following:

• Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP).  
• Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA).
• Certified Information Security Manager (CISM).
• Certified in the Governance of Enterprise IT (CGEIT).
• Certified in Risk and Information Systems Control (CRISC).
• A professional, industry recognized certification equivalent to the above and acceptable to the district.

Salary : $153,275 - $186,285
