Monday - Friday | 7:00 pm - 11:00 pm
We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Custodian to support evening floor care operations at a community and activity center in the Rochester area near the Letica Drive corridor.
This position is focused on maintaining clean, safe, and well-kept floors throughout a public-facing facility that serves community members, guests, staff, and visitors. The ideal candidate is reliable, thorough, and comfortable operating floor care equipment as part of the daily cleaning routine.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine floor care throughout assigned areas of the facility
- Operate an automatic floor scrubber to clean and maintain hard surface floors
- Sweep, mop, and prepare floor areas for cleaning as needed
- Maintain cleanliness and appearance of entrances, hallways, activity areas, and shared spaces
- Follow cleaning procedures, safety guidelines, and equipment-use expectations
- Report equipment issues, supply needs, or facility concerns to management
- Help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for staff, guests, and visitors
Requirements
- Previous janitorial, custodial, or floor care experience preferred
- Experience operating an automatic floor scrubber preferred, but not required
- Comfortable working in a public-facing community facility
- Reliable attendance and dependable work ethic
- Ability to work independently and stay on task
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality work
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, push, and pull throughout the shift
