**36 hours in Bowdoin, ME for a female client. **
We are looking for a compassionate and caring Personal Support Specialist (PSS) to provide assistance to our clients in their homes. The PSS will be responsible for providing personal care, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming, as well as light housekeeping and companionship.
Responsibilities
- Provide personal care assistance to clients, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Assist clients with medication management
- Perform light housekeeping duties, such as laundry, dishes, and vacuuming
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients
- Document care provided in accordance with agency policies and procedures
- Attend training and development sessions as required
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1-2 years of experience in a home care or healthcare setting preferred
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
