Job Summary
S3 Solutions One LLC is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Janitor to perform janitorial services at a federal research facility. The Janitor is responsible for maintaining a clean, sanitary, and professional environment in accordance with contract requirements. This role requires strict adherence to safety protocols, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in sensitive laboratory and office environments.
This position supports S3’s commitment to “Setting the Standard in Service” by ensuring consistent, high-quality cleaning services that meet or exceed Government expectations.
Compensation - Hourly total = $20.25
Wage rate is $14.70 per hour worked PLUS $5.55 per hour worked for benefits.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Routine Janitorial Services (Mon, Wed and Fri)
· Empty all interior and exterior waste receptacles and transport waste to designated disposal areas
· Replace trash liners as needed and ensure receptacles are clean and odor-free
· Clean and disinfect restrooms, including sinks, toilets, urinals, partitions, mirrors, and fixtures
· Sweep, mop, and maintain all non-carpeted floors to ensure a clean, uniform appearance
· Vacuum carpeted areas and remove visible dirt, debris, and stains
· Move light furniture and items as necessary to clean underneath and restore to original position
Weekly Duties
· Clean and disinfect drinking fountains
· Sweep entryways and covered walkways
Monthly Duties
· Dust horizontal and vertical surfaces, including vents, blinds, and fixtures
· Clean interior glass, partitions, and entrance door glass
· Clean janitorial storage areas
Periodic Duties
· Spot clean carpets as needed
· Perform semi-annual floor care including strip, scrub, seal, and wax of resilient flooring
· Perform semi-annual carpet shampooing and extraction
Performance Standards and Expectations
· Maintain a professional appearance and wear company-issued uniform or identification
· Perform all work in a manner that does not disrupt facility operations
· Ensure all assigned tasks are completed in accordance with contract requirements
· Immediately report damages, safety concerns, or maintenance issues
· Maintain cleanliness of work areas and janitorial storage spaces
Qualifications
· Prior janitorial or custodial experience preferred
· Experience operating floor maintenance equipment, including automatic scrubbers, floor buffers, burnishers, and carpet extraction machines
· Ability to follow detailed instructions and cleaning procedures
· Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
· Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
· Physical ability to perform cleaning tasks including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods
· Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
· Employment eligibility verified through E-Verify
· Ability to successfully pass a background check required for access to federal facilities
· Must comply with all federal, state, and local labor laws
· Must adhere to safety requirements and site-specific safety plan
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 25 pounds
- Ability to perform repetitive cleaning tasks
- Ability to safely operate cleaning equipment
Work Schedule
- Work performed three (3) days per week (Monday, Wednesday, Friday)
- Standard duty hours between 7:30 AM and 4:00 PM as coordinated by management
- Required to adjust workdays during federal holidays to maintain required service frequency
Working Conditions
- Indoor and outdoor cleaning in office areas, kitchens, restrooms, conference rooms, entrances, and porches.
- Exposure to cleaning chemicals, dust, and general office environment.
- Work requires adherence to building security and safety procedures.
Salary : $6 - $15
