Full-Time Maintenance Technician
Serving Westland, Garden City & Plymouth, MI
Wilderness Park Apartments is currently seeking a dependable and experienced Full-Time Maintenance Technician to join our team and support our apartment communities located in the Westland, Garden City, and Plymouth areas.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, appliance servicing, and general upkeep
- Respond promptly to work orders and emergency calls
- Ensure all work is completed in accordance with safety guidelines and company standards
- Participate in on-call rotation for after-hours emergencies
- Maintain the overall cleanliness and curb appeal of the property
- Interact professionally and respectfully with residents and team members
Qualifications:
- Prior maintenance experience in residential or multifamily housing is required
- Must have working knowledge of HVAC systems ( Magic Chef ), plumbing, electrical, and appliance repair
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Must live within one hour of the property or be willing to live on-site
- Excellent people skills with the ability to communicate effectively with residents and staff
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
Additional Perk:
A free on-site apartment is available for candidates participating in the on-call rotation. While living on-site is not required, it is an option for those seeking housing.
Compensation & Trial Period:
This position includes a one-week trial period. Upon successful completion and mutual agreement, compensation and terms will be negotiated accordingly based on experience and performance.
