What are the responsibilities and job description for the Tax Accountant position at S&S Employment Partners?
Tax Accountant - Our client seeks a highly organized Tax Accountant in their Des Moines, IA office.
This is a full-time, direct-hire opportunity where you will earn up to $130,000 based on your experience. You will work Monday – Friday 8:00am – 5:00pm 100% in office.
Some of your responsibilities as a Tax Accountant will include:
- Communicating with clients to ensure timely collection of information
- Preparing tax estimates and returns
- Serving as the tax subject matter expert
- Assisting with ongoing accounting services
- Scheduling review cycle of tax preparation and estimates
- Coordinating with IT resources to maintain and improve tax software
- Other duties as assigned
To qualify for the Tax Accountant, you must have a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance or related field. As well as:
- Bachelor’s Degree in accounting/finance or related field
- 5 years of tax and accounting experience
- Strong financial and analytical skills
- CPA Preferred
- Understanding of financial planning strategies
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
- Time management skills
- Relationship building skills
