What are the responsibilities and job description for the Regional Retail Merchandiser position at S. Abraham & Sons, Inc.?
Summary
Responsible for the merchandising, rotation, and stocking of merchandise in convenience stores and gas stations. Provides sales relief vacation coverage for Sales Representatives which requires ordering for the stores where applicable. This position operates in the Louisville, KY/Southern OH territory with other travel extending throughout the state as needed.
Essential Functions
- Nurtures a full partnership relationship between SAS and its customers.
- Checks in the orders that have been delivered to the stores for the assigned departments as needed.
- Completes all necessary paperwork, including store documents which must all be sent into headquarters on a weekly basis.
- Maintains plan-o-grams.
Physical Demands
The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Hours of work fluctuate, but should average 40 per week, and days of work are Monday through Friday. Hours listed are general hours and may be altered as needed. Additional hours may be required to fulfill job duties and position expectations.
Travel
Must have ability to travel, utilizing your own vehicle, locally while maintaining necessary account call frequency. Additional travel outside of region will be required occasionally.
Required Education and Experience
- Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of two years of merchandising experience.
