We are currently seeking a full-time Staff Pharmacist for a Direct Hire Search opportunity located in the Central Valley, CA. You will play a vital role in our pharmacy, responsible for the accurate and efficient preparation and administration of pharmaceuticals to patients. Job Specifics And Requirements

Area: Central Valley, CA

Licensure Requirements: Must have open, active, and in good standing CA State Pharmacist License

Education: Pharm.D. or B.S.

Years of Experience: 2 years of sterile compounding experience and sterile compounding certification required

Pay: $75.00 DOE, relocation packages available

Background/ Drug Requirements: Must be willing to submit to a background check, health and drug screen.

Job Responsibilities

• Review pharmaceutical prescriptions, compound and prepare them as needed, and also oversee these processes, including dispensing, for both patients and medical practitioners.
• Make informed decisions regarding generic substitutions when appropriate.
• Provide comprehensive consultations to patients and/or medical practitioners on drug indications, contraindications, dosages, potential drug interactions, and side effects.
• Offer accurate and up-to-date drug and pharmaceutical information.
• Oversee the procurement, storage, and distribution of drugs and medications.
• Guide the learning and skill development of pharmacy students, interns, and trainees through instruction and training, while continuously monitoring and evaluating their progress.
• Implement and maintain organized systems for the secure storage and accurate record-keeping of all pharmaceuticals.
• May be required to take patient histories, conduct initial clinical assessments, and refer patients to appropriate healthcare providers.
• Conduct routine quality control testing of equipment, the environment, and record-keeping systems in compliance with relevant federal, state, and local regulations.
• Adhere to established departmental policies, procedures, continuous quality improvement initiatives, and safety and infection control standards.
• Undertake any additional duties as required to support the pharmacy's operations and goals.
• Carefully review and accurately execute physician prescriptions, ensuring their appropriateness and legality.
• Maintain an efficient and organized pharmacy workspace for easy and quick product identification.
• Ensure the accurate delivery, stocking, and labeling of medications and other products, and monitor their condition to prevent expiration or deterioration.
• Actively listen to customers to understand their needs and provide helpful information and advice.
• Accurately prepare medications for patients, ensuring precise dosages and the correct materials are used for each prescription.
• Strictly comply with all applicable legal rules, regulations, and procedures governing pharmacy practice.
• Required to have proven sterile compounding experience and possess a current sterile compounding certification.
