Schedule: 2 Weeks On / 2 Weeks Off (North Slope Rotation)
Position Overview
The Project Planner V supports the Facilities Planning & Scheduling Lead throughout the Execution and Commissioning phases of a large-scale capital project in Alpine, Alaska.
This role is responsible for building, maintaining, analyzing, and continuously improving project schedules using Primavera and CPMS (ConocoPhillips Capital Project Management System).
The ideal candidate brings extensive planning and scheduling experience on major oil & gas projects, strong understanding of commissioning planning, outstanding communication skills, and technical proficiency in integrated project controls.
This position will work a 2x2 rotation on the North Slope.Key Responsibilities
Planning & Scheduling
- Identify all construction and commissioning activities and develop logic using CPMS
- Establish and maintain project logic networks, critical paths, and schedule forecasts
- Integrate cost engineering inputs into the schedule and project control reports
- Prepare automated and integrated project controls reports, dashboards, and procedures
- Maintain audit-ready documentation and schedule data preservation trails
- Perform earned value (labor/quantity) analysis; report variances and trends
- Track contractor schedules and notify project managers of deviations or delays
- Prepare recovery plans or mitigation schedules as needed
- Incorporate approved change orders into schedule and cost structures
- Support WIP/EV forecasting, schedule risk considerations, and progress validation
- Attend contractor meetings to review construction and commissioning schedules
- Communicate schedule changes, risks, and impacts to cross-functional teams

Commissioning Support
- Apply commissioning sequence knowledge to maintain logic integrity
- Ensure schedule updates align with commissioning readiness and turnover plans
- Support integration between construction completion and commissioning milestones
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent industry experience
- Minimum 10 years project controls experience on major capital oil & gas or petrochemical projects
- Strong experience working with Construction & Commissioning teams
- Extensive Primavera P6 experience (expert level)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Demonstrated competency in automated / integrated project controls systems
- Strong communication skills with high attention to detail and responsibility
- Bachelor's in Construction Management, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or Project Management
Strong working knowledge of:
