JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Solution Architect – is responsible for leading all aspects of the solution, working closely with the implementation team and technical solution architect, as well as using their industry and implementation experience to advise and guide the extended implementation project team.

POSITION TITLE: Solution Architect

REPORTS TO: VP of Implementation and Services.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Coordinate closely with Project Manager, Technical Solution Architect, and Consultants to deliver outcomes/solutions that meet expectations and follow leading practices for our clients
• Take the lead in delivering the software solution, maintain clear communication on all aspects of the solution with the customer project and management team
• Work closely with the Project Manager to ensure risks from complex requirements are identified, tracked, managed and minimized
• Prepare design documents for functional requirements
• Coordinate and delegate work within the delivery team
• Work with partners and system integrators in ensuring the software experience is consistent regardless of the delivery mechanism
• Maintain the focus on ensuring we deliver value to the customer
• Be involved in the successful delivery of additional consulting services
• Be familiar with IFS Scope Tool, available IFS Accelerators, and how they can be applied to a customer project
• Articulate product direction and the potential value it could bring to our customers. Where applicable, design, develop, and oversee implementation of end-to-end integrated systems
• Design and implement long-term strategic goals and short-term tactical plans for managing and maintaining corporate systems and software
• Provide guidance to junior members of the team
• Plan solution review sessions with the customer and internal teams
• Plan the workshops for the Confirm Prototype phase

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Computer Science, IT or equivalent (Master’s degree preferred)
• Experienced in complex ERP implementations
• Experience with the IFS Scope Tool
• Minimum 5 years as experience as an ERP functional analyst with at least 2 years’ experience as an IFS ERP V.9 or later Solution Architect
• The ability to apply architectural principles to business solutions, interpret business requirements and facilitate cross-functional balanced solutions
• Advanced communication and presentation skills
• Experienced in leading a team and delivering solutions
• IFS Applications development experience a plus
• Commercial focus, business acumen and a “can-do” attitude
• Willingness to travel to customer sites as needed
