What are the responsibilities and job description for the Anticipated: Supervisor of PreK position at Rutland Northeast Supervisory Union?
Rutland Northeast Supervisory Union is seeking dynamic and experienced candidates to fill the role of the Supervisor of PreK. The Supervisor of Prekindergarten shall ensure that the young children, birth through the 2nd grade, will receive appropriate and adequate educational programs through administration, coordination, and evaluation of the programs, related services and other programs. The Supervisor shall provide consultation to district personnel in the area of best practices, learning outcomes, assessment and licensing. The Supervisor shall work cooperatively with State Licensing and Universal Pre-K programs and public agencies that address the physical, emotional, care-giving, academic and other needs of prekindergarten children with the aim of providing seamless, comprehensive and adequate services. The Supervisor shall provide necessary financial and program information to the State Department of Education and to the Rutland Northeast Director of Business and Finance , as necessary under law, regulation and Rutland Northeast procedures.
Rutland Northeast serves approximately 1500 students preK-12 and comprises two member districts, Barstow Unified Union School District (BUUSD) and Otter Valley Unified Union School District (OVUUSD). BUUSD operates one PreK-8 school and offers high school choice for the towns of Chittenden and Mendon. OVUUSD operates three PreK-6 schools and one Union High School for the towns of Brandon, Goshen, Leicester, Pittsford, Sudbury and Whiting. All eight towns are quintessential New England towns situated between Lake Champlain and the Green Mountains.
The successful candidate must possess:
Three or more years of experience in early education and /or special education
Administrator license with preschool concentration from the AOE
Masters Degree to be obtained within three years of hire date
Excellent communication skills, both in speaking and writing, high energy, strong organizational skills and ability to complete multiple complex tasks with attention to detail in a timely manner, Proficiency and interest in technology, instructional innovation, and integration in classrooms and beyond,
