About Us
Russian River Veterinary Surgical Service (RRVSS) opened in January 2026. We specialize in orthopedic and soft tissue surgeries, advanced imaging (CT), surgical consultations, and a developing rehabilitation program. Our mission is to combine skill, compassion, and collaboration to deliver the highest standard of veterinary surgical care.
What You’ll Do
As part of our surgical team, you’ll play a key role in patient care before, during, and after procedures. Core responsibilities include:
- Patient intake and preparation for surgery
- Inducing and monitoring anesthesia
- Assisting surgeons during procedures
- Post-operative recovery and discharge of patients
- Educating clients on pre- and post-operative care
- Cleaning, prepping, and sterilizing surgical packs, operating rooms, and hospital areas
- Supporting doctors during consultations and performing diagnostic orders
- Maintaining hospital equipment and inventory
- Participating in continuing education events hosted in our facility
What We’re Looking For
- Licensed RVT or highly experienced veterinary surgical assistant
- Strong technical and anesthesia skills
