Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Veterinary Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for animal care and a desire to support our veterinarian in providing high-quality medical services to pets. Duties
- Assist our veterinarian during examinations and procedures, ensuring the comfort and safety of animals, clients & staff.
- Perform routine tasks such as taking vital signs, administering medications, and preparing animals for surgery.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the clinic, including sterilizing instruments and managing supplies.
- Provide basic pet grooming services as needed, including bathing, nail trimming, and coat brushing.
- Animal handling & restraint, assisting in treatments, surgery & dentals.
- Handle animals safely and effectively during examinations or treatments.
- Assist with diagnostic procedures such as X-rays, ensuring proper aseptic techniques are followed.
- Document patient information accurately in veterinary records.
Skills

- Strong animal handling skills to ensure safe interactions with dog and cats.
- Knowledge of dog training principles to assist pet owners effectively.

- Basic understanding of animal physiology to recognize health issues.

- Knowledge of aseptic technique to maintain sterile environments during procedures.
- Excellent dog handling skills to manage various breeds safely.
