Quality Engineer / Test Engineer
Location: Burlington, MA
Pay Rate: $36.20 - $46.58/hour
Work Type: Hybrid (Onsite Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday)
Duration: 6 Months Contract with Possible Extensions
Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented Quality Engineer / Test Engineer to support product validation and testing activities for new and existing product features. This role focuses on developing and improving test protocols, analyzing data, and ensuring testing processes meet quality and performance standards.
The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, experience with statistical tools, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement in testing and validation processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, update, and maintain test protocols for new product features
- Execute product validation and testing activities
- Analyze test data using statistical tools and generate performance reports
- Evaluate and improve existing test methods and procedures
- Create and maintain testing documentation, including data capture forms and digital requests
- Compile and report testing status across multiple programs
- Review test plans and identify potential gaps or risks
- Collaborate with engineering, quality, and program teams to ensure test completion
- Support continuous improvement and quality initiatives
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related engineering discipline
- Experience supporting product validation, testing, or quality engineering activities
- Strong data analysis skills using statistical tools
- Experience with documentation and reporting processes
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Lean Six Sigma (LSS) knowledge or certification
- DFMEA (Design Failure Mode and Effects Analysis) experience
- Experience using statistical analysis tools such as:
- Minitab
- JMP
- Experience working in a product development or manufacturing environment
- Experience using project or issue tracking tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence)
